As an Accounts Payable Associate you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial transactions within our organization.

Your responsibilities will include processing accounts, managing payments, and maintaining records. Proficiency in PeopleSoft and Excel is essential for success in this role.

Essential duties in this role include :

oReview payable accounts to ensure proper recording of information.

oVerify that records contain appropriate authorization for payment.

oEnter payment information into the Accounts Payable System (using PeopleSoft).

oMaintain all Accounts Payable and Expense Report files.

oRegister new vendors within the accounts payable system.

oProcess accounts payable checks.

oVerify and post accounts payable transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.

o Support Financial Department :

oTrain the financial department regarding PeopleSoft Accounts Payable module and other related programs and procedures.

oAct as a resource for the accounts payable team.

o Data Management :

oMaintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.

oHandle discrepancies and unapproved / unpaid invoices.

oMatch and batch check runs.

oManage W9 and W8-BEN data.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

oBachelor’s or Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.

oProficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.

oStrong attention to detail.

oExcellent organizational and communication skills.

oAbility to handle ad hoc requests from management.

oPrevious experience in accounts payable or related roles.

oKnowledge of general accounting procedures.

oAbility to maintain proper backup files for research and reference.
